Here are a few things I made

Tim is showing off a Moby wrap that we made. We are going to be practicing attachment parenting while she is an infant, so it is important that we hold her as much as possible. Janaki told us that you can never ever spoil a newborn baby. Moby wrapsare a great way to be close to your baby while she is getting used to the world around her. We want her to fell calm and secure. It is also easy to breastfeed hands free with moby wraps.

Here are a couple of sheep that I made over Christmas for Little Bun. Tim bought me this
book for Christmas which has the cutest and hippest little creatures.
Below is black sheep and white sheep.

Crib!

Last weekend, my nesting instincts freaked out, and I needed a crib for our baby. It is the last big thing that we needed, and I couldn't settle down until we had one. Tim and I decided that this would be the one thing that we would get for "little bun" brand new. So, we went to a lot of baby stores and were amazed at how large the cribs were. We have very little room, so we decided that a mini crib is best for us. It was so hard to find a mini-crib here though. We went to babies 'r us and they only had hospital fold up mini cribs. I was so disappointed.

So, we decided to buy off of the internet. Uncle Topher had given us a gift certificate for amazon, so we decided to put that towards getting her new crib. We did find one that we liked: DaVinci Emily mini crib, so we got it. It is so beautiful, and it shipped faster than if we were to get it in a store. Tim had a lot of fun much putting it together, and Puck joined in the fun also.

Baby Shower

My friends are so sweet! They threw me a baby shower.
Actually it was a weird baby shower. One of my favorite things to eat is Dim Sum. So we went to Ranch 99 to the Asian Pearl. We had to wait in line for such a long time (1 hr), so they decided because it was so busy inside the restaurant to open the baby gifts in line while we were waiting. It was awkward, but I got into it after a while. They got us all these things that I had totally forgotten that we needed. A lot of very practical stuff as well as a couple of fun things.

-newborn diapers
-first aid kit
-baby powder
-rash cream
-baby wipes
-bath-time supplies
-wash cloths
- bibs

-cool little duck towel (so cute)

-bath tub with drying sling

-cute little caterpillar play thing

The dim sum was delicious, and thank you so much to my friends!

Baby Room

I'm slowly putting together our babies room. We don't have an extra bedroom, but we do have a large closet with a window in it. It will be good for the baby for a few years until we move. I spent a day, a few weeks ago, getting all of our stuff off the shelves (earthquake hazard) and under our bed and anywhere else I could stuff things. It looks really nice. So below is some material in which I'm going to make curtains. I love owls and nature, so I'm trying to decorate it with vintage animals. I love this material.

This is a lamp shade that I got for the baby room. Very cute!

"Little bun" has a little bunny. I knit this for our baby a few weeks ago, and I'm very happy with how cute it turned out. Gramma Rachel and I went to Borders to look at knitting books. I bought one from which I made this bunny, and Gramma Rachel is working on something from her book. I really enjoy knitting.

Baby Furniture...so fa

This is a my rocking chair that I bought last week at Urban Ore. It's very difficult to find a rocking chair for me because my legs are so short, but this one fits perfectly. It's also very sturdy. We put it in our bedroom right by the bay window, which shines in beautiful light in the morning.

These are a couple things that Gramma Rachel bought for us while she was visiting. We went to a few garage sales in which she got us many things. Garage sales are great. We got this and a lot of clothes, and diaper covers for $20. The first picture is a co-sleeper for "little bun" when it's a new born. I plan on breastfeeding, so it will be useful to have in the bed when I have to feed in the middle of the night.

The second piece is also something Gramma Rachel bought for us. It is a tiny little chair with a cover on the seat so that "little bun" can put its toys and stuff in it. Very Cute!!!

This is a bouncy chair that I found. It plays music and vibrates. This is one of the first things we got.

This is a high chair that we also got at Urban ore. I love this chair. It's an old 1940's(?) wooden chair. As you can see, it folds down into a play area on wheels. How cool is that!

Woman Overjoyed By Giant Uterine Parasite

NEW BRIGHTON, MN—Immediately following a physician's examination for her menstrual cessation, 37-year-old events planner Janice Crowley told reporters Tuesday that she is "ecstatic" with her diagnosis of a rapidly growing intrauterine parasite.

"I'm so happy!" Crowley said of the golf ball–sized, nutrient-sapping organism embedded deep in the wall of her uterus. "I was beginning to think this would never happen to me."

Crowley's condition is common and well-documented, with millions of women between the ages of 12 and 50 diagnosed every year. Studies have shown that while the disorder strikes without prejudice across racial, ethnic, and class lines, it bears a very high correlation with the consumption of alcohol at the time of infection. Although there is a low-cost daily medication available that can prevent the harmful symbiote with 99 percent efficacy, many women inexplicably choose not to use it.

Symptoms of potential uterine blight are wide-ranging and can include nausea, vomiting, constipation, irritability, emotional instability, swollen or tender breasts, massive weight gain, severe loss of bone density, fatigue, insomnia, excessive flatulence, hemorrhoids, vaginal tearing, and involuntary defecation.

"I can't wait to tell my parents!" said Crowley, who added that she is reasonably certain she contracted the parasite while on a romantic Caribbean cruise with her husband in May, most likely during a brief sojourn in the Virgin Islands.

The nutrient-sucking creature that grows within.

"I think it must have happened in that little seaside villa on St. Thomas," said Crowley in an attempt to pinpoint precisely how long ago her endoparasitic ailment began. "Or maybe the night we went to that secluded beach on Tortola."

Crowley has reportedly refused a simple inexpensive outpatient procedure that would completely rid her of the detrimental organism in about an hour, effectively sparing her from the host of complications that will burden her and her family for the rest of their lives.

"We're thinking of naming [the parasite] either Robert or Lisa," Crowley said. "I just couldn't be more excited!"

Among the many signs that Crowley's condition is deteriorating rapidly is a frequent compulsion to consume foods in unorthodox and often revolting combinations.

"For some reason I can't stop eating olives dipped in chocolate cake frosting," Crowley said cheerfully. "And the other day I just had to have sardines with butter and jam. Crazy!"

In what will likely be the most painful experience of her life, Crowley will eventually require hospitalization in order to remove the giant entity. There is at least a 15 percent chance doctors will be forced to cut the parasite directly from her abdomen, a procedure that would result in severe trauma and scarring. If Crowley survives the operation, she will have to cope with the minimum 18 additional years of emotional and financial drain that is typically associated with this parasite, as well as irrevocable harm to her toned and relatively youthful body, This includes scarring to her breasts and stomach, and a series of visibly pronounced veins along her thighs and groin.

"Just think, in a couple of months I'll be able to feel it kicking," Crowley said of the creature that will soon be writhing restlessly inside her, increasingly and disproportionately robbing her of her strength and stamina. "It's truly a miracle."

Though Crowley is otherwise healthy, the fact that she is in her late 30s makes it much more likely that the parasite has already split and multiplied within her womb.
